The Promises Realization Scale (PRS)
Instructions and rationale for the PRS: Individuals in Twelve Step recovery from alcoholism and other forms of addictive disease, as well as individuals in Al-Anon and similar programs, share goals that are described concisely in Alcoholics Anonymous (p. 83-84) and Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions (p. 106-107). It is believed by people in recovery that with active participation in day-to-day Alcoholics Anonymous (A.A.), Narcotics Anonymous (N.A.), Al-Anon, or other Twelve Step programs, and “Step Work,” these goals will always be achieved. This short questionnaire encourages you to rate your current life situation on a number of dimensions derived from the referenced texts, and then briefly asks you to describe your activity level in A.A., N.A., Al-Anon, etc. Please be as honest as you can be about your current situation.
